THE PRIDE & THE PASSION

THE FIRST TEAM TO CELEBRATE A CENTURY OF TOP-FLIGHT FOOTBALL

 Single CD  MS CD.512

Single Cassette/Dble Case  CLP.513

A look at the history of football will reveal that the most successful club in the history of the game is none other than Everton F.C. Their history and achievements during their 100-year sojourn make fascinating listening as BBC Radio Merseyside's Mike Hughes provides a guided tour of their unparalleled achievements. In recent years, flirtations with relegation have been frequent and undoubtedly passionate and intense. In the early century, the record of the legendary Dixie Dean laid foundations for all that was to follow.

Later, in the sixties, the country's finest midfield trio of Kendall, Harvey and Ball swept all before them with championships and cups. The only regret was that their greatest modern team was denied European competition by the unfortunate events at Heysel.

With the advent of striker Wayne Rooney and with a bright future beckoning, this album is a runaway best-seller.  55 minutes
