Started playing in 1963 whilst still at school, a band aptly called ‘The Subject’, in 1967, John formed a new group called ‘Strawberry Fayre’ who were very popular in England and were support band to Mud, Sweet, Lindisfarne and The Fortunes. John left the band to follow a solo career as ‘John Paul Jnr’ a full-time Guitar Vocalist and toured as far north as the Shetlands and as far south as North Africa. John formed a new group in the late 1990’s called The Copycats, after a chance meeting with Harry Prytherch, former drummer with Liverpool 60s group ‘The Remo 4’, they produced a show called ‘The Mersey Beat Story’ which was a hit on the theatre circuit and also appeared on the Billy Butler live T.V. Show. He came out of Showbusiness to concentrate on his second love Photography, with his wife Carolyn they now own ‘Standish Photographic’. Mick Cockayne Bass guitar and vocals. Mick comes from a very talented musical family his father was in a band called Hedgehoppers Anonymous, who had a hit with Its Good News Week. Mick joined his dads ‘family band’ at the age of 15 called Family Royale Dad, Mick, Brother and Sister and Mum on the mixing desk. They toured Scotland and had a Summer season at Blackpool with Little and Large. His Harmony vocals are a great asset to the Band and blend together with Kenny’s Harmonies perfectly.
